Junior Kickboxing class starts back after the holidays on Tuesday 7th Sept 6pm

The first fund raising event for 2011 helping underpriviledged children was a sack of rice challenge over 1 month, between June and July. We managed to raise in that time £473.04 a great start to the cause. Thank you to all who supported this event.

Ladies Self Defence class starts July 2010 approx 2weeks time Friday 6pm - 7pm ladies and Saturday 11.30am - 12.30pm 11yrs - 16yrs £3 per session. Learn how to be aware and safe.

New Beginners class for adults 16years above will commence Friday 19th March 6.30pm to 7.30pm training fee is £3 with no joining fee.

THe 10hour sponsored workout event raised a total of £588.50 many thanks to all that took part and all that gave there support all was donated to our Kickout charity. This year with all events we raised a grand total of £1865.20 double of what we raised the previous year a great achievement and thanks again to all who gave there support.

The Gym completed 10hours continuous workout yesterday sat 23rd Jan from 10am till 8pm to raise funds for underprivledged children. 7 members of the gym completed the whole task.Well done to them, and all the people that came along to join in at various times throughout the day, your support was very welcome.Funds raised from this event will be posted once the sponsership is all in. Names of the enduring seven who comleted the task are, Michelle Hart, Greg Hart, Dave Wright, Ste Carberry, Mick Harris, Aidy Alderson and Paul Monty.

Student of the month was awarded to James Graham for his outstanding effort and dedication to the sport.Well done.

James Graham,Jay Warren and Tom Flewker who took part in a Kickboxing Tournament at Stanley and did extremely well as it was there first time in a competition,and in a boxing ring. James fought an older lad with experiance and showed just how much heart he had by being 2 rounds down then fighting back to take the 3rd even with a foot injury he was carrying. Tom did well also by defeating his opponent on points winning all three rounds,and Jay had 2 fights stopping his opponent in the 3rd round of the first fight and winning his 2nd fight on points again winning every round. Well done to these 3 lads a credit to Stockton Kickboxing Gym.Photos will be posted on this news page soon.

A junior Kickboxing tournament is taking place at Stanley Co Durham and we have 3 junior fighters taking part Tom Flewker, James Graham and Jay Warren.This will be there first tournament and the whole of Stockton Kickboxing Gym wishes them Good luck.

Stockton Kickboxing Gym will be performing a full Kickboxing demonstration on the Sat 12th Dec.The Junior and the senior classes will be performing a varied programme which will last for over an hour.This show is not to be missed reserve your seat now.

Charity news the sponsored walk up Roseberry Topping by the junior section raised a total of £467.15 to help underpriviledged children. Well done to all that took part and also parents, your support was much appreciated.

Paul and Aid instructed a Weapons seminar at Elm Tree Community Centre on Sat 24th Oct with all funds going to the Kick Out Charity helping underpriveledged children. £95 was raised from this event.

Next event to take place is introductory seminar with weapons training, using sticks and knives. The seminar will take place at Elm Tree Community Centre on Sat 24th Oct at 11am and end at 12.30pm. Training fee is £5 which will all be donated to the Kick Out Charity helping underpriveledged children.

October 18th our club took part in one of the Kick Out charitys fund raising events to help underpriveledged children, with a sponsored walk/climb up Roseberry Topping. Parents also came along and took part, Stockton Kickboxing Gym would like to give a Big Thank You for all your support. All the boys and girls excelled in reaching the top so quickly well done to everyone.Photos of the event and the total amount raised will be posted on the website soon.

Sat 24th Oct 11am - 12.30pm at Elm Tree Community Centre we will be holding an intoduction course in ABC Weapon and Combat Training which was devised and developed by Chris Crudelli. Learn the skills invoved using sticks and knives. The course fee is £5 which will all be donated to the Kick Out Charity to help underpriviledged children. The best grade for the junior gradings on Sat 26th Sept 09 was awarded to Tom Flewker now green belt for his outstanding effort, well done Tom keep up the good work. In very close 2nd was Jay Warren now green belt a previous winner of this award, keep kicking Jay. And a joint 3rd was Charleigh O Connor and Leanne Conn both now green belts with excellent commitment, certainly two girls to watch out for. Well done girls. And well done to all the students who passed there grades a good effort; Dean Graham and Joseph Atkinson 1st grade White belts. James Carberry, Adam Tweddle, Emily Tweddle and Jessica Carberry all 2nd grade Yellow belts. Hannah Louise Race, Rebecca Jane Race, Liam Small, Katie Foulger, Chloe Mallaby, James Graham and Michael Lattaway 3rd grade Green belts.

Saturday 12th Sept Paul and Aidy went to Birmingham to take part in an ABC combat training seminar with Master Chris Crudelli from the hit TV programme Mind Body Kick Ass Moves. An unforgetable experiance. Mic Barker took photos which will be posted on website soon.

Gary Spacey who is in the Marines fought on Thursday 25th June in Barry Wales for the Help The Heroes Charity 5 bouts Marines / Paras versus civilians. Gary knocked his opponent down in the first round with a left roundhouse kick to the head for an eight count - but he was saved by the bell. The result after five rounds was a unanimous victory for Gary. Well done from all at Stockton Kickboxing Gym.

Craig Eaton fought in a competition at Beamish. He took the fight at short notice but unfortunately got caught cold in the 1st round taking a knock down. From this he never recovered and the fight was stopped. Great courage was shown from Craig for getting in the ring at short notice, but with all sports you must train differently to compete and he never had the time. This won't put him off; it'll just make him more eager to get himself back in the ring. See the fight hosted by p4tv.com
